Globetrotters Galavanting

Watching the coin go round and round to vote on the next exhibit added to the zoo.
 We went to Africa.

Professor Braeden was pointing out all the countries. He can spell all of them from memory. He loves all things related to maps.

Uncle Chris & Granny Bug stopping to catch the scenery during the junket.

Loving the giraffe.

Getting sprayed by an elephant!

Granny Bug driving the Land Rover in the caravan. Look how fast she can go!

 We went Down Under.

The wallabies could walk right up to us and around us. There was nothing to keep them separate from us. That one tried to escape as we were leaving. Two had a successful escape last summer.

The trekkers.

 We went to Argentina.

Bear sloth

Wolf as tall as me that looks like a fox.

Stopped to pick the dandelion while this was walking by....

Aunt Meg

This is how he felt about having a tiger eat him. Apparently, I'm happy to be his meal.

My favorite exhibit.
Ridiculously cute!!

Granny Bug & Braeden

Ian

Braeden's gorilla face.

Braeden lost his second tooth naturally this week for a grand total of three missing.

Riding a seal is the best!

The one I didn't cut Granny Bug's face off in.

Surprise!!!

Granny Bug and Poppa came for a visit. Uncle Chris and Aunt Meg joined us as well. We all managed to keep the visit a secret and this is the reaction of the boys when they all walked in the back yard last Tuesday evening.

Braeden finally calmed from his excitement and gave hugs!

It proved all too much for Ian. He stayed like this for 10 minutes. Then I held him for 10 minutes. Then he bit my shoulder. Definitely not the response I was anticipating!

Scoot Bikes

That's what Ian calls or did call Scooters. He is transitioning to using the proper term and not the cute toddler speak. Might as well capture it and love it while we can. After two weeks of being in shorts, a cold spell came back through.  You can also see some of the garden beds we've redone in the background. They don't look like much now, but with a bit of patience it will.

Ian poses for his picture

B's new kicks. Size 1 shoes - Already!?

He insisted on getting the back side shot.
 The Many Faces of Braeden

Ian's turn.
He didn't get your skills Great Grandma Jean.
Braeden gets a little farther.
But no tongue to nose.

Child Labor. Stomp down that yard waste!

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain

The "Braed" as Ian calls him.

Can usually be found racing a car.

Wild and Free

Time Out 'Tude

The "I-man" as Poppa calls him.

A Glimpse of the Glow

Ten days ago it felt like Spring outside for a weekend. It snowed again the next day. And it's snowing today. But this is what we did on a Spring like afternoon. I spray painted a bunch of decorations and planting pots that have been waiting for it to get just warm enough to be made over. And the boys did this...

Oh, the warmth. Mid 50s!

A little sunbathing. Don't mind if I do!

And of course, sledding!

Ian is lucky to have such a guy for an older brother. Though I doubt he realizes it.

Pure Joy

Shall we go again!?

And it snowed and snowed and snowed

"One winter morning Braeden and Ian woke up and looked out the window. Snow had fallen during the night. It covered everything as far as they could see."
