We literally have a trail system out our back door that connects to all the trails in the foothills. It's amazing and we don't get to use it often enough. Rains keep us off. Snow and cold and wind keep us off. Heat keeps us off. So today was just right and out the door we went for a 90 minute jaunt in search of blooming fragrant lupine. Lupine we found. Blooming lupine we did not. The trail we took didn't have them in bloom yet. Like we missed it by a day or two. Supposing we will just have to go back, weather permitting.
