Happy birthday Granny Bug!

We ventured up to the grandparents Saturday for Granny Bug's birthday. We ate at Red Robin, played at a sweet playground, Braeden, Granny Bug and Poppa went to Winnie the Pooh, celebrated with a Dairy Queen ice cream cake, & played outside in the rain. Yep, this was the second coldest birthday Granny Bug has celebrated in the PNW.  60s and rain, rain, rain. We got rained out from swimming Sunday. The boys played in the yard digging up roly polies, measuring and "fixing" things with Poppa's tools, making the wind chimes sing, and splashing in the bird baths. They have beautiful huge trees that gave us sufficient cover from the terrible weather.

A giggle a day keeps the glums away

Since the boys loved the slip n slide at the Barber's BBQ, we purchased one for our backyard. It was 80* so we went for it. That's what you have to do in Oregon. The water was freezing. Ian is not a fan of freezing water and not so hot weather. He's not going to hack it as an Oregonian. He gets it from me.Braeden thinks this is the coolest invention ever. He gets it from Brandon.

July 4th BBQ

We were invited to a BBQ at the Barber's house and it was everything you could want for a great summer BBQ. We had a wonderful time with the Barber's friends and family. The boys had the best time they've had all summer!  Slip n slide, cars, balls, sandbox, hot for Oregon weather, and two acres to run through!
That house is a shed. Coolest shed I've ever seen!

"A two-year-old is kind of like having a blender, but you don't have a top for it." Jerry Seinfield

Today we came forward to join our new church! I thought it would be a day to document. The boys were in the middle of throwing an hour long scream fest. How often are we all dressed nicely? Not often, since I mostly hang out in workout clothes that I don't actually do more than yard work and walking while wearing. It's just easier than getting my nicer clothes slimed and grimed. And the boys sport their diapers/underwear while inside. Brandon is the only one who looks respectable as he joins the real world and participates in society! And because our children misbehave and our life is not perfect, I will show you the pictures of our whole family not just Brandon and I!

Brandon and I are laughing through the whole thing.

Our roses are sure pretty right now!
